Who ‘We’ Are
In this policy, ‘We’, ‘Us’, and ‘Our’ refers to the Incorporation of Goldsmiths and all subsidiaries or associated charities, including the Scottish Goldsmiths Trust, the Edinburgh Assay Office, Silver of the Stars and Assay Assured.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under the Edinburgh Assay Office (registration number ZA353369).
What personal data do we collect and how is it collected?
We process your personal data to meet our legal, statutory and contractual obligations and to provide you with our products and services. We will never collect any unnecessary personal data from you, and do not process your information in any way other than as specified in this notice.

Personal information including name, postal address, email address, phone number, Sponsors Mark Details, information about your business needs, and information about your interests
Non-personal data including IP address, operating system and browser type, to help us to improve the performance of our website
The data We process is provided directly by you, in connection with specific services or activities, including registrations, applications, job submission, and newsletter signups.
How we use your personal data
We use the data we collect to fulfil your requests and to fulfil our legal obligations.
Using your information for marketing purposes
We will only send marketing emails to individuals who have specifically consented to Us doing so (effective 25 May 2018). If you would like to subscribe to our newsletter, you can do so here.
Every email that we send you will include the option to unsubscribe. If you no longer wish to receive emails from us, you can unsubscribe using the link in the footer of our emails, or you can contact us at eda@scottishgoldsmithstrust.org.
What we don’t do with your data
We take your privacy very seriously and will never disclose or share your data without your consent; unless we are required to do so by law. We will never sell your data. We only retain your data for as long as is necessary and for the purpose(s) specified in this notice.
Where you have consented to us providing you with promotional offers and marketing, you are free to withdraw this consent at any time.
Your rights
Subject Access Requests
If you are a resident of the EU, you have the legal right to make a “subject access request”. If you exercise this right and we process personal data about you, we are required to provide you with a description and copy of that personal data and tell you why we are processing it.
Correction or restriction of data
As well as your subject access right, you may have a legal right to have your personal data corrected or erased, to object to its processing, or have its processing restricted.
