Self-Directed Residencies @ The Marchmont Silversmithing Workshop

We’re pleased to announce a range of self-directed residencies at The Marchmont Silversmithing Workshop.

The fifth bench in the workshop dedicated to residencies is the workbench of the late Master Silversmith Graham Stewart, whose generous gift of tools and equipment was the catalyst for this new home of Silversmithing in Scotland.

Self-directed residencies are offered from 1-week to 1-month but are not suitable for those with only basic knowledge of silversmithing as there is no provision of teaching and/or technical support.

There are 3 application deadlines throughout the year:

  • For residencies in March, April & May, applications are due by 20 January 2024

  • For residencies in June, July & August, applications are due by 20 March 2024

  • For residencies in September, November & December, applications are due by 20 May 2024
